Kory "Kp" Lee Pratt

Kory Lee "KP" Pratt, 35, died unexpectedly at his home on December 28, 2020. He was born in Marion, the oldest of two sons, to Keven and Kim (Hunt) Pratt, Upland, who survive. To know Kory was to love him; he never knew a stranger and greeted everyone with warmth that only he had. He was an avid Pacers and Cubs fan and could give you a detailed breakdown of about any craft beer you asked about. Kory was the friend you could call anytime - day or night - and he'd be there. There was hardly a place from Marion to Indy where you couldn't find someone that knew him. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met and will be greatly missed by his family as well as countless friends. Kory graduated from Eastbrook High School in 2003 and attended Purdue University for Engineering. He was a Restaurant & Bar Manager at Old Oakland Golf Club, Carmel, and was well known in the Muncie area for serving his friends at Savage's Ale House. He was a social butterfly who enjoyed playing softball and golf; attending car shows - his 1969 Camaro was the love of his life; and helping his dad with Pratt Construction for many years. He attended Lutheran Church of the Cross, Muncie. In addition to his parents, Kory leaves behind his younger brother: Kody (Lindsay) Pratt, Shepherdsville, Kentucky; as well as many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Max & Vera Hunt; and paternal grandparents: Jack & Shirley Pratt. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 259 N. Main St., Upland, where a visitation will be held on from 11 am -1 pm, Sunday, January 3, 2021. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Jefferson Cemetery, Upland. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, please wear a mask when attending the services.
