Kim W. Liming

Kim W. Liming, 70, died Friday morning, August 6, 2021 in IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie. He was born in Matthews on September 12, 1950, the son of the late James and Phyllis (Wright) Liming. Kim graduated from Eastbrook High School in 1968. He was a truck driver in Ennis, Texas from 1978 -2011 and for Red Gold, Indiana, before his retirement. He was a member of the Gaston American Legion Post #387, the American Legion Post #361, Ennis, Texas, and the Eagles. Kim enjoyed riding his motorcycle, growing tomatoes, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his fiance, Payton Gilland, Matthews; children: Jasmine Marie Liming, Matthews; Margo Akins, Muncie; and Nick Liming, Muncie; a sister: Cindy (Ed) Reed, Gaston; special cousins: Brad Slater, Muncie; Stan Slater, Upland; Gene Slater, Upland; and Phil Clevenger, Matthews; several other cousins and two nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by paternal and maternal grandparents, three aunts and two uncles. Arrangements were entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 259 N. Main St, Upland. There will be a Graveside Service at 11:00 AM at Matthews Cemetery, Matthews, on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
