Kathryn L. Favorite

Kathryn L. Favorite, 92, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 25, 2017, at Colonial Oaks Health and Rehab in Marion, IN. Kathryn was born on August 23, 1925, in Springfield, Ohioto the late J.Corwinand Gladys (Wise)Bentzel. She graduated fromStiversHigh School in Dayton, Ohio in 1943. She then married Marion Favorite and he preceded her in death in 1980. Kathryn worked as a dietary purchaser for Miami Valley Hospital, from which she retired after a very long career. Kathryn was a member of Hillside Chapel in Beavercreek, Ohio, then attended Brookhaven Wesleyan Church in Marion, Indianaafter moving. Kathryn enjoyed cross-stitching, reading, and flower gardening. She loved to travel. She was able to make several trips overseas, visiting places such as Israel, Ireland and Germany. She also made many trips throughoutthe United States. Kathryn is survived by her son, Henry (Patti) Favorite, Marion, IN; daughter-in-law, Jill Favorite, Beavercreek, OH, sister, EvelynShoup, OH;granddaughters, Amy (Greg) Jacobs, Charity (Joel) Creek, and Holly (Dale)McCrory; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.Corwinand GladysBentzel; husband, Marion Favorite; son, Russell Favorite; and sister, Ruth Belcher. Western Ave., Marion, IN. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel.
