Joyce Ann Plummer

Joyce A. Plummer, age 74 of Marion, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Millers Merry Manor in Marion, IN. She was born to the late Doc and Martha (Wright) Toler on February 10, 1942 in Logan, WV. Joyce graduated from Owingsville High School in Kentucky and later attended Marion Business College. On February 4, 1962, she married the love of her life, David Plummer, in Marion. They meet in Marion after living only three miles apart in Kentucky. After her children were older, Joyce worked as a supervisor for Spiegels and as a bookkeeping clerk at Sears. She was a strong Christian and enjoyed visiting different churches with her husband. Joyce enjoyed quilting, reading visiting Shipshewana, and working in her flower beds. Most of all, she enjoyed her family and grandchildren, whether it was playing games or coloring pictures with them. In addition to her husband of fifty-four years, David Sr., Joyce is survived by her children, David (Rachel) Plummer Jr., of Kendallville, and Kevin (Angela) Plummer, of American Fork, UT; grandchildren, Juliana and Bryce Plummer, of Kendallville; sisters, Betty (Herman) Watts, of Winchester, KY, and Elsie (Henry) Frayley, of Lexington, KY. Arrangements are being entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 S. Western Ave., Marion, IN 46953. In accordance with Joyces wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grant County Rescue Mission, in care of the funeral home.
