Jose C Amaro Jr

Jose C. Amaro, Jr., 24, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023, from injuries sustained in a car accident. Jose was born on December 29, 1998, to the late Jose I. Amaro, in Buffalo, New York. He was an avid video game player and enjoyed his XBox games. He was fun to get along with and had a great smile. He liked being outside and playing with fire and he built a fire pit at home. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and he was very protective over his family. Jose loved his BORN Church family and always greeted people warmly.

Jose is survived by his grandmother, Frances Amaro, Marion; fiance Samantha Johnson, Marion;  Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Stacy Bennett, Jonesboro; Uncle Francisco Amaro, Michigan City; Uncle Bobby Bennett, Marion; Aunt Tina Washington, Fort Wayne; sister, Sonia; six half-brothers; several other aunts and uncles in Buffalo, New York; and his pastor, Chuck Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jose, and grandfather, Carlos Amaro.

Arrangements for Jose have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A visitation will be held at BORN Church, 320 North Adams Street, Marion, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Chuck Vernon officiating. Burial will take place at Estates of Serenity in Marion.
