John Phillip Davis

John Phillip Jay Davis 67 of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, formerly of Marion, died Thursday March 9, 2017 at VA Northern Indiana Medical Center, Marion, Indiana Jay was an avid collector of Hot Wheels model cars with thousands in his collection, he was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed vintage cars. He was a graduate of Marion High School Class of 1968, a Vietnam Army veteran and retired from General Motors Truck Plant, Ft. Wayne where he was an electrician. Jay was born April 6, 1949 in Marion, Indiana to the late Paul D. Davis and Lillian M. (Titus) Davis who survives in Marion, IN He married Kathy J. Robinson December 1979 in Marion, and she survives. Surviving besides his wife and mother are his children, Deanna (Justin)Vershaw, Marion, Morgan Davis, Ft. Wayne, Bryce Davis, Ft. Wayne. Sister, Debbie (Dale)Egle,PontaGorda, Fl. 5 Grandchildren, Austin, Dominic,Marlo, and StellaVershawand Jacob Davis. The family will receive friends Monday March 13, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Fairmount ChapelArmes-HuntFuneral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, IN Burial will immediately follow at Marion National Cemetery with full Military Rites.
