John was born June 5,1960at Junction City, Ky and was the son of the late Perry Eastman and the lateEissieMarie (Taylor) Reed. He had formerly worked as a logger for a logging company in Buffalo, Indiana. John enjoyed fishing, fixing things, playing cards and was enjoyable to be with. He loved to spoil his grandchildren. Survivorsinclude,wife Joanne L. (Walls) of Marion, daughters;PricillaReed,LulabelleReed, HelenTimmons, LorettaTimmonsall of Marion, IN and a son John David Reed. Sisters; Shirley (Gene)Timmons, Marion, IN NancyScarbrough, Stanford, Ky Geraldine Webb, Lake City, Fl. Brother, Harold (Tammy) Reed, Monticello, IN.11 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Best friends Pat and Buster Reed both of Matthews, IN He is preceded in death by brothers, William, Bobby,Mervin, Vernon, andMichaelReed, Charlie and Tommy Taylor. Sisters,LulabelleCorey, Lillian Reed, Fay Reed and Dorothy Taylor. Funeral services for John will be 4:00 PMWednesdayApril 12,2017atArmes-HuntFuneral Home and Cremation Services, College Park Chapel 4601 S. Western Ave., Marion, IN with visitation from 2-4 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will follow. Memorial contributions are to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
