Joe Allen Justus, 65, of Fairmount, fought the good fight and finished his race, joining his Lord and Savior in heaven, on Monday, January 13, 2025

after a 16 year cancer battle.

Joe was born in Marion, Indiana on November 15, 1959, son of the late Wilbur J. and Barbara (Thompson) Justus. He graduated from Madison Grant High School in 1978. Joe was a welder at American Mobile Power in Fairmount. He was known as "Gramps" to his favorite people, Jase and Lilia. He loved being a "Gramps" and watching Jase play baseball. Joe loved the Lord, gospel music, and faithfully attended Fairmount Wesleyan Church. He enjoyed playing cards, going for rides in his golf cart, and his faithful canine companion, Heinrich. In nice weather, he loved having his friends and family join him to hang out at the Lot.

Joe is survived by a loving family, daughter, Samantha (Jarod) Mason; grandchildren, Jase and Lilia Mason; twin sister, Joanna Justus, , sister, Linda Boller, both of Fairmount; brothers, Dennis (Theresa) Justus, Marion, Danny Justus, and Jim (Sherry) Justus, both of Summitville.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Barbara, son, Titus Justus and brother Dale Justus.

Services for Joe will be at the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana on Monday, January 20, 2025. Visitation will be from 12-3 PM with the funeral service celebrating Joe's life at 3 PM with Pastor Jeff Luedtke officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Fairmount.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Titus Justus Scholarship Fund in care of the Community Foundation, 505 W. 3rd Street, Marion, Indiana 46952 or left at the funeral home.
