Jim

James A. Jones, 65, of Fairmount, died Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Lutheran Hospital. Jim was born on February 27, 1957 in Peru, Indiana, son of the late Larry and Marilyn (Lawson) Jones. He graduated from Peru High School in 1975. Jim married the love of his life, Christy Pavone, on July 30, 1977 in Gas City. Jim worked at RCA for 27 years. After the closing of RCA he went to work for Grant County where he worked maintenance until his retirement. Jim enjoyed bowling, golfing and going for golf cart rides. His family will miss his excellent grilling skills. He was a devoted Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Christy; daughter Natalie (TJ) Pruitt, Fairmount; brother, Gene Jones and sister Jane Jones both of Peru; grandson, Dustin (Cierra) Pruitt, Mooreland; great-grandson, Dakota Pruitt, Mooreland; Sisters-in-law, Tammy (Danny) Hensley, Fairmount, and Toni (Chris) Watson, Jonesboro' mother-in-law, Bonnie Pavone, Jonesboro; three nephews, Gage Jones, Peru, Kyle (Teresa Joseph) Hensley Marion, and Brian (Missy) Hensley, Marion. Arrangements are entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana. There will be no services.
