Jeffery L. Yeakle

Jeffery L. Yeakle, 63, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, with his loving family by his side. Jeff was born on April 25, 1956, to the late Phillip Yeakle and Patricia Yeakle, who survives in Marion. He graduated from Marion High School in 1974 and went to work for Ball Foster Glass for 35 years, from where he retired. On December 2, 1996, he married Rita Hornbaker, and she survives in Jonesboro. He enjoyed playing pool and golf in his younger years, but he loved crappie fishing; he participated in many crappie tournaments over the years. He was a very loving and caring man, and he loved his children and grandchildren more than anything. He loved to take his grandchildren fishing and show them how it was really done. Jeff is survived by his wife, Rita Yeakle; mother, Patricia Yeakle; children, Genny (John) Brumley, Marion, Jacob Yeakle, San Antonio, TX, and John (Rebekah) Copas, Fairmount; grandchildren, Taylor and Jonathan Brumley, Kendra, Zander, and Conner Yeakle, Brianna and Gavin Parker, Tyler (Reaghan) and Aaron Copas, and Bryce and Austin (Savanna) Campbell; great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Delaney Copas; sisters, Teresa Molnar, Defiance, OH, Tammy Miller, Valrico, FL, and Sherri Wright, Marion; brother, Douglas (Lori) Yeakle, Abilene, TX; and his toy poodle, Princess. He was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Yeakle, and his brother, Gary Yeakle. A visitation for Jeff will be Friday, August 30, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Sunnycrest Baptist Church, 2172 West Chapel Pike, Marion, Indiana 46952. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Timmons officiating. In accordance with Jeffs wishes, cremation will take place.
