Jane Wines

Jane Wines, 83, of Tullahoma, Tennessee, peacefully departed this life on November 4, 2024. She was born on August 12, 1941, in Marion, Indiana, to her late parents, Don and Ruth (Carter) Evans. Jane's life was a beautiful representation of kindness, dedication, and the joy found in life's simple pleasures.


Jane devoted her career to the care of others as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Department of Veterans Affairs. She worked in hospitals in Marion, Indiana, and Murfreesboro, Tennessee, after graduating from the Marion General Hospital nursing program. Her compassion and steadfastness made a significant impact on countless lives. Later, she brought her welcoming spirit to her community, spending 15 years working at Walmart. Jane also attended Marion College, which is now known as Indiana Wesleyan University.


Gardening was Jane's true passion; she found joy in nurturing flowers and plants that added vibrancy to the lives around her. Her green thumb and creative touch turned her garden into a lively sanctuary, reflecting her gentle care for nature. Jane's love for the outdoors was evident in every landscaping project she undertook, showcasing her attention to detail and appreciation for beauty.


A faithful Christian, Jane was raised attending the Friends Church, cherishing her beliefs throughout her life. She is remembered as a devoted wife to her husband of 42 years, Freedis Sherman Wines, who remained her constant companion and partner.


Jane leaves behind a profound legacy of kindness, resilience, and a life dedicated to serving others. Her memory will bloom eternally in the hearts of those she touched, much like her beloved garden flourishes with each new season.


She is survived by her son, Ross Monroe; daughters, Dawn (Mark Wojciechowski, SGM (Retired), Army) Wojciechowski, Heather Monroe. grandchildren, Mariah Monroe, Alec (Sierra) Bates, Creed (Avery) Bates, Emily (Jacob, E4 Navy) Callender, Hayle Franklin, Jeff Bridenthal; great-grandchildren, Clementine Callender, Daisy Jay Bates, Javyn, Jazmyne, Sarenity and Kal'Lahnj Jane Nuncio


Additionally, Jane is survived by her step-sons, Bobby (Tamara) Wines and Freddie Wines, along with their families, including granddaughters Amber (Donald) Caudill, great-grandchildren Lily, Layla Caudill, Braxton Wines, and Nichole (Nikki) Grubb, as well as Freddie's grandchildren Jewlius, Kylie, and Allie Wines.


Jane's siblings, Cathay (Paul, deceased) Hisey, Donna (James A.) Bishop, and Dennis (Carol) Evans; Sister-in-law Nita Evans also hold her memory dear.


She was preceded in passing by her brother David Evans (Retired SSG Army) and grandson Nathan Nuncio.


Graveside services for Jane will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Grant Memorial Park Cemetery in Marion, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted to College Park Chapel, Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, located at 4601 S. Western Ave., Marion, IN 46953
