Jane A. Meredith

Jane A. Meredith, 78, passed away on December 23, 2022, at Marion Health. She was born on March 16, 1944 to Ray and Iva (Bartlett) Poling in Marion, Indiana. She graduated from Evans High School and married James H. Meredith Sr. who preceded her in death on December 13, 2013.

Jane worked for the Town of Jonesboro as the Water Operator until her retirement. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed doing crafts. She has always been a pet lover.

Jane is survived by her children Wayne Bodkins, Jonesboro; Mike (Ronnette) Bodkins, Gas City; Sheila Cofield, Mishawaka,; and James Meredith Jr, Indianapolis; grandchildren Michael Columbus, Chad, Kevin, Josh, Brandy, Robert III, Candace, Jayne, Hunter, Michael Jr, Gary, Gary Columbus, Nathaniel, Kylee; sister Ruth Poling-Kegley, Marion; several great and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her beloved Chihuahua's Sassy, Jake, Chase, Champ, Chico, and Troubles.

Her parents, husband, and son Robert Bodkins Jr., and grandson Gary Bodkins preceded her in death.

Services for Jane will be at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. with a funeral immediately following with Al Soultz officiating.
