James E. Sellers Jr.

James Edwin Jim Sellers, Jr., 72, of Fairmount, Indiana died Friday, January 18, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo. Jim was born on March 28, 1946 in Wabash, Indiana, son of the late James E. Sellers Sr. and Hildred (ODell) Sellers. Jim graduated from Fairmount High School in 1963. Jim entered the Navy on November 20, 1964 and retired in 1993 and served in Vietnam from 1964-1967. He was a member of the Gas City VFW, Fairmount American Legion and the Marion AMVETS and attended the Fairmount United Methodist Church. Jim loved horses and had previously raised Tennessee Walkers. He also enjoyed flying and deep sea diving. Jim is survived by five children; Christopher Sellers, San Mateo, CA, Craig Sellers, Casey Sellers, and Trista Sellers all of Fairmount, and Lisa Sellers, Marion; grandchildren; Tyler, Kaleb and Gracie Sellers, Cash, Abby, Emilo, Casey Jr. Sellers, and Jamison Fitzjarrald; Renita (Gary) Hunziker, Keokuk, Iowa. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 5-7 PM. Funeral service is Friday, January 25, 2019 at 10 AM with Ted Payne officiating. Interment will be at Park Cemetery in Fairmount, Indiana.
