Inge Maddox

Inge Maddox, 76, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. Inge was born on March 2, 1943, in Kalduny, Poland, to the late Richard and Linda Lenz. She graduated from high school in Amberg, Germany. Inge fell in love with Thomas Maddox and came to the United States to be his wife. They were married on January 16, 1971. Over the course of a wonderful, healthy, 48 year marriage, Tom and Inge were able to travel quite a bit, visiting most of Europe and America, and also a few other countries. Inge worked in the food service department at Indiana Wesleyan University for 22 years, and retired in 2006. She had been a member of Brookhaven Wesleyan Church for 39 years, where she had helped with the childrens program, CYC, and also helped with funeral dinners. Inge was a wonderful cook and baker, having made many wedding cakes as well. She loved spending time with her church family. Inge is survived by her husband, Tom, Jonesboro; daughter, Leann (Neil) Dixon, Franklin; grandchildren, Jared (Leanne) and Mekinzie; three great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Lenz, Ebersbach, Germany; sister, Irene Weideman, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; sister-in-law, Sheryl Everhart; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Linda Lenz. Arrangements for Inge have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953, where a visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. and an hour before the service. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 5, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastors Joel Gearhart and Bob Vancise officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Marion. Contributions made in memory of Inge may be made to Gods Love Food Pantry at Brookhaven Wesleyan Church, 2960 East 38th Street, Marion, Indiana 46953.
