Ida 'Louise' Lennens

Ida LouiseLennens, 90, formerly of Fairmount, Indiana died Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Colonial Oaks Health Care. Louise was born in Gas City, Indiana on May 2 1926, daughter of the late FrankMcManisand the late Mildred (McHenry)McManis. She graduated from Fairmount High School in 1944. Louise married Russell E.Lennenson January26, 1950. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1985. Louise was employed by Madison-Grant Community Schools where she worked as a cook in the Cafeteria at Park Elementary School. She also cleaned Dr. Yales office. Louise was a member of Fairmount Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for 40 years and was a Sunday school teacher for 30 years. She was also a member of the Fairmount Bonnet Club and enjoyed reading, word books and traveling. Son, Robert E. (Carol)Lennens, Fairmount, IN, Daughter, Rita E. (Ron) Forsythe, Marion, IN, Sister, MabelMcManis,Kokomo, IN. 2 grandsons; BobbieLennens, Fairmount, IN and DavidLennens,Reynoldsburg, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brotherRichardMcManisandsister Elsie Elliott. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel ofArmes-HuntFuneral Home Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where a funeral service honoring Louise will be on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 10:30 AM with Dr. JerryDeHartofficiating. Burial will follow at ParkviewCemetery in Alexandria, Indiana. Visitation is on Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 2-6 PM at the Fairmount Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marion-Grant County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
