Hilda M. Hurlock

Hilda M. Hurlock 87 died Saturday August 11, 2018 at Millers Merry Manor nursing home, Marion, Indiana. Hilda was born November 21, 1930 in the family farmhouse in Grant County, Indiana to the late Norman and Mabel Mason Bailey. She was a graduate of Fairmount High School and retired from Urology Inc. Marion where she was a receptionist. She had also been previously employed by Dr. Walton, RCA, Fairmount Farm Bureau Co-Op in Fairmount and had worked part time for the Heart Center, Marion, IN Hilda enjoyed wordsearch puzzles, was an avid reader and loved animals. She is survived by her children: Larry (Diana) Hurlock, Gas City, IN and Brenda (Tom) Ellis, Marion, IN Sister: Norma Landers, Marion, IN Special Friend Bob Wagoner, Marion, IN Grandchildren: Meghan Hurlock, Marion, IN Adam McDonald, Harker Heights, Texas, Josh (Rebecca) Smith, Marion, IN Jeremy (Josie) Smith, Jacksonville, FL Shannon (Mat) Smith, Jonesboro, IN and Jared Smith, Gas City, IN Great-Grandchildren: Carson, Aurbi, Madelin, Hannah, Nicholas, Emma, Noah, and Liam. Her cat Casper. She is preceded in death by Grandson: Austin Hurlock, Great-Grandson: Brayden Bradford. Services for Hilda will be 11:00 AM Wednesday August 15, 2018 at Fairmount Chapel, Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, IN with Pastor Mark Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow immediately at Park Cemetery, Fairmount, IN. The family will receive friends Tuesday August 14, 2018 from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grant County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
