Helen M. Faunce, 83, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2023, in her home. She was born to Floyd and Francis (Gaskin) Williams on April 24, 1940, in Gas City, Indiana.
After high school, Helen worked as a sweeper at Mississinewa Community Schools and attended First Baptist Church in Gas City, Indiana. She married Charles Faunce in 1985 and he preceded her in death in 2018. Helen had a deep connection with her family and greatly enjoyed spending time with her siblings and extended family. She loved all flowers, especially red roses. She had a consistent practice of sending cards for every occasion to her family.
She is survived by her children, Jodie (Lee) Stewart, Victor Lee (Elizabeth Harling) Coffel, and Stephanie Jordan, Terri Dix, Shanna (Richey) Bryant; her grandchildren, Amanda (Jacob) Winn, Roel Yanez, Jacy Yanez, Kadey Obenchain, Brayden (Lauren) Foreman, Kalyn Polochak, Garrett Coffel, and Logan Coffel, Scott Harling, Skylar Harling, and Sam Harling; great-grandchildren, Savannah Crews, Megan Hamilton, and Matthew Winn; sister Doris Greene and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Kimberly Coffel, grandson David Elliot Obenchain, daughter-in-law Maggie Coffel, siblings Velva Couch, Jim Williams, Bonnie White, Mary Freda Cropper, Hershal Williams, Bill Williams, Kate Ziller, Florence Williams, Mike Williams, Robert Williams, and Butch Williams.
Arrangements have been entrusted for Helen to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebrations Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Visitation will be Monday, December 4, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church at 204 E South A Street, Gas City, Indiana 46933. The funeral will follow at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Dean Tremble presiding. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Gas City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church.
