Helen Louise Shane

Helen Louise Shane, 89, of Anderson, Indiana and formerly of Fairmount died Friday, March 10, 2017 at Community Hospital of Anderson. Helen was born in Marion Indiana on September 7, 1927, daughter of BasilGalbreathand Carrie (Trowbridge)Galbreath. She was a 1946 graduate ofSwayzeeHigh School and worked as a supervisor of credit and collections at Community Hospital East of Indianapolis. Helen was married to Joe Shane who preceded her in death on August 19, 2003. She attendedIdlewildBaptist Church of Tampa, Florida. Helen loved cats and watching Hallmark movies. She is survived by her daughter, Becky (Robert) Johnson of Anderson,step-grandaughter, JennyGreinerofKennasaw, GA and special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, along with her cat Sissy. She was preceded in death by a brother, RichardGalbreath. Armes-HuntFuneral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana handled arrangements. Helens body will be cremated andentombmentwill take place at a later date.
