Frederick A. Ford

Frederick A. Ford, 80, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Fred was born on July 11, 1943, to the late Alvin and Madeline Ford. He was born and raised in Fowlerton, Indiana, and graduated from Fairmount High School. He worked as a K9 police officer for the Fairmount Police Department, and was also the town marshal for Matthews and Fowlerton. He then worked for many years as an electrician for Tulox Plastics and other factories. He enjoyed fishing and wood-working.

Fred is survived by his children, Kelley (Debbie) Ford, Marion, Jerome Ford, Fowlerton, and Amber Ford, Fairmount; brother, Mike Ford; and eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Madeline, sisters, Wilma and Marilyn, and son, Frederick L. Ford.

Arrangements for Fred have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services. In accordance with Fred's wishes, the family will hold a private memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a dementia organization of the donor's choice.
