Francis Marion "Mike" Meyer

Francis Marion "Mike" Meyer, 90, formerly of Fairmount, died peacefully Monday, January 2, 2023 at Heritage Pointe in Warren, Indiana, surrounded by his family.

Mike was born in Marion, Indiana on July 25, 1932, son of the late Claude and Mildred Anne (McCormick) Meyer. He graduated from Jefferson Township High School in Huntington County in 1950. A year later he enlisted in the Navy. Soon after, he married the love of his life, Martha J. Harrold on June 8, 1952. Martha preceded him in death on May 21, 2012. Mike was an Inspector for Dana Corporation for 32 years, retiring in 1987. Mike was a member of the Fairmount Friends Church, and a former Little League coach. Mike and Martha enjoyed the years they spent traveling with the Dana Campers Club. He enjoyed wood working and spending time with friends and family.

Mike is survived by two children, Ron (Jackie) Meyer, Fairmount and Teresa (Ron) Hiatt, Elwood; 5 Grandchildren, Britany (Rex) Browning, Tipton, IN, Brock (Alissa) Meyer, Fairmount, IN, Kimberly (Jack) Jones, Elwood, IN, Kelly (Carl) Caldwell, Elwood, IN, Karie (Jeff) Solms, Elwood, IN;14 Great-Grandchildren, Olivia, Ellie, Alyssa, Bella, Luke, Ryan, and Caleb Browning, Judah, Roni, and Nora Meyer, A.J. & Kahne, Jones, Ayla Caldwell, Lillie & Lila Solms.

Arrangements are being handled by Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, IN Funeral service will be at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home on Friday, January 6, 2023. Visitation is from 11 AM - 2 PM with the funeral service beginning at 2 PM with his son, Pastor Ron Meyer and Grandson, Pastor Brock Meyer officiating. Interment will be at Park Cemetery, Fairmount, IN with Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the Fairmount Friends Church Youth Program in care of the funeral home.
