Frances A. Boan

Frances A. Boan, 99, of Upland, Indiana, died at 3:00 PM, on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at University Nursing Center in Upland. She entered this world on September 13, 1923, in Marion, Indiana, born to William and Margaret (Noble) Hunt. Frances married Virgil Boan, he died in 1986.

She spent most of her life as a homemaker and was known to be a very simple woman. Frances loved cookies, candies and completing word search puzzles. The most important time for her was time spent with her family when they would come to see her, especially her grandchildren.

Frances is survived by her three children, William (Roberta) Boan, of Marion, Connie (Bill) Johnson, of Columbus, Ohio, and Judy DeHart, of Upland; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, eight adopted great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, and a brother, Clarence "Bub" Hunt.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 259 N. Main St., Upland, IN 46989.

A graveside service for Frances will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Estates of Serenity, 2225 S. Lincoln Boulevard, Marion.
