Floyd Lee Hollingsworth

Floyd Lee Hollingsworth, 77 of Jonesboro, Indiana died Saturday January 21, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. He was born March 16, 1945 at Sullivan, Indiana to the late Floyd Charles and Lillian (Ladson) Hollingsworth. He graduated from Pleasantville High School class of 1963 and married Laura "Lori" (Thornberry) April 26, 1991 she survives.

Floyd retired from Thomson Consumer Electronics (RCA) after 37 years where he was an electrician. He was a hard worker always needing to stay busy working on cars, racing dirt bikes, riding motorcycles, building things, he built his own garage. He enjoyed outdoors sports, playing guitar and music.

His is survived by his wife, Laura, children; Andrew (Latasha) Hollingsworth, Eric Hollingsworth, Jason Hollingsworth, Lisa (Jeff) Fannin, Laura (Lee) Minch, and Lenora Lynn (Chris) Moon. Siblings; Lois (John) Hathaway, Beverly (Jaun) Guyer, and Kay (Albert) Ravellette. 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Linda Kemple, Wanda Ruth Hollingsworth, and brother; Paul Hollingsworth.

Arrangements for Floyd have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, Indiana 46928 where the family will receive friends Wednesday January 25, 2023 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM with the funeral will be at 3:00 PM. Interment will be at Park Cemetery, Fairmount, IN.

Memorial contributions are to the funeral home to help defray funeral cost.
