Evan A. Yeater, 30, of Indianapolis, Indiana, formerly of Gas City, passed away peacefully in his sleep due to natural causes at his Indianapolis home at 10:22 p.m., on Saturday, July 9, 2022. He entered this world on August 27, 1991, at Scott Air Force Base in St. Clair County, Illinois, to parents Jeffery Jon "Butch" and Tracy Ann (Payne) Yeater. He was an honor graduate of Mississinewa High School with the class of 2009. He was a four year member of the high school tennis team as a doubles player. His proudest moment was winning CIC championship two years in a row. Evan recently worked in sales for Dish Network and was also a bartender for Olive Garden and two Indianapolis Country Clubs. He was well-known to all for how much he loved each and every person unconditionally and was a friend to everyone. Evan loved being around his friends and family, where his favorite past time was playing cards and board games. He especially enjoyed playing weekly with his grandmother, Janice Payne, with whom he had a special bond. Evan is survived by his father, Butch Yeater, of Gas City, Indiana; brother, Morgan Yeater, of Noblesville, Indiana; grandmother, Janice Payne, of Fairmount; three uncles, Ron Payne, of Terre Haute, Indiana, Curt (Debbie) Yeater, of Fairmount, and Rodney (Teresa) Yeater, of Marion, Indiana; aunt, Robin (Jim Havens) Wilson, of Fairmount; and 10 special cousins. In addition to his mother, Tracy Yeater, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Yeater; grandmother, Ercie Yeater; grandfather, Bill Payne; and three cousins, Danny Yeater, Neal Yeater, and Jarynd Yeater. Arrangements have been entrusted to he Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 South Main Street, Fairmount, IN 46928, where on Friday, July 15, 2022, friends may call from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
