Ernest "Le" Leroy Mahan

Ernest LeRoy "Le" Mahan, 75, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Marion General Hospital. Le was born on January 11, 1946, to the late Ernest and Betty Mahan, in San Francisco, California. On May 28, 1988, he married Faith Watkins, and she survives. Le joined the Army in 1963 and retired from the National Guard after serving his country for 20 years. During his time in the Army, he served two tours over in Vietnam. He was very proud of his military background. After serving in the military, he became a long haul truck driver. Le was a true outdoorsman and loved fishing and camping. Le is survived by his wife, Faith; son, Jonathan (Raquel) Mahan, Marion; grandsons, Benjamin Stanley, Samuel Le, and Gabriel Le Fernandes Mahan, Marion; sisters, Cheryl Graves, Marion, and Diana (Jim) Smith, FL; brother, David (Sandy) Mahan, TX; mother-in-law, Maxine Watkins, Marion; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Betty, and sister, Vickie Mahan. Arrangements for Le have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Services will be private.
