Edwin "Rusty" Havens

Edwin "Rusty" Havens 70 of Fairmount died Saturday January, 14 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

Rusty retired after 28 years working at Thomson (RCA) in Marion, after retiring he went on the the Alexandria School of Scientific Massage Therapeutics, he practiced massage therapy from 2005 - 2019. He became Mr. Meijer after he started working at Meijer in Marion as shoppers would call him. He was a 1970 graduate of Marion High School.

Born January 23, 1952 at Marion, Indiana. Rusty married Virginia "Ginny" Payne in Marion, Indiana, July 26, 1980, she survives.

Rusty was a member of the American Massage Association and Fairmount Church of God.

He enjoyed being with his grandchildren and taking them to Sophie's for ice cream. He enjoyed doing puzzle books, especially Sudoku, riding his golf cart, and making up songs to sing to his grandchildren.

Rusty is survived by his wife, daughter; Hannah (Charles) Bugby, sons; Craig (Amber) Havens, and Steven (Rachel) Gifford, grandchildren; Isabella Havens. Gabriella Keene,

Matthew Daub, Elizabeth and Stephen Uncapher, Braxton and Ashtyn Bugby. Siblings; Gladious (Gregory) Stout, Rhonda (Franklin) Mark, Penny (Anthony) Alexandria, Paul, John, and Thomas Poe. 18 Neices and nephews. Special cousins; Emma Lou (Joe) Stambaugh and Carol Ann (Ron) Carpenter.

Rusty is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Poe, sister, Sheila Havens, aunt and uncle Mildred and Joe Havens, cousin Jody Hisey.

Arrangements for Rusty have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, IN.

The family will receive family and friends Wednesday January 18, 2023 from 11-1 followed with the funeral service at 1:00 PM with Steve Landis officiating, burial will be in Park Cemetery Fairmount, IN
