Eddie "Lynn" Overmyer

Eddie "Lynn" Overmyer, 90 passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023.  He was born to Eddie P. and Muriel (Champ) Overmyer on September 6, 1933, in Plymouth, Indiana.  He married Mary Jo Alexander on March 20, 1954, and she preceded him in death after 66 years of marriage.

Lynn graduated from North Webster High School in 1952 and Ball State with a Bachelor's Degree in Business.  He taught at Mississinewa for four years and went on to be a Route Manager for Coverall for 26 years. Lynn was an active member of the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge.  He loved Westerns and cars specifically his 1946 Willy Jeep and his 1966 Thunderbird.

Lynn is survived by his daughter, Debbie (David) Norris, Martinsville; son, Eddie (Tamara) Overmyer, Sweetser; daughter-in-law, Cindy (Nick)Butler, Gas City; grandchildren, Aron (Molly) Overmyer, of Gas City, and their children Catcher and Audrey; Madison (Griffin) Ball of Franklin, their daughter Sabrina, Maxwell Norris, Greenwood; Graham, Gabe and Griffin Overmyer. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Jo, 2 sons, David Overmyer and Jeffrey Overmyer; and sister Jo An (Jim) Folk.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 10:00 -11:00 A.M. Masonic Rites will begin at 11:00 A.M. with a funeral following. with Pastor Todd Graham officiating at the College Park Chapel 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, IN 46953. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory, Marion, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital 51 Blossom Street Boston, Massachusetts 02114.
