Douglas Paul Fights

Douglas Paul Fights, 45, of Fowlerton, died Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Parkview Hospital, Ft. Wayne, after a brief illness.

Doug was born in Marion, Indiana on February 13, 1977, son of the late Donald  "Donnie" Fights Jr. and Elizabeth "Buzz" (Merrill) Reno. He attended Madison-Grant Schools. He worked for Seward Excavating. Doug was a loving, trusting young man that saw the good in everyone. He never met a stranger and would do anything for anyone. He loved children and they loved him. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, riding his Harley and fixing things.

Doug is survived by his Mom, Buzz Reno of Fowlerton; brother, Christopher, Indianapolis; special friend Danielle (Kidd) Fights, Seymour; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Doug was preceded in death by his father, Donald "Donnie", grandparents; Marjorie Burton, Donald Fights, Sr., and Charles and Juanita Merrill; and special Uncle Pat Merrill; step-father, James Reno.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana. A memorial service and graveside service are being planned for a later date.
