Douglas A. Mckevitt

Douglas Andrew McKevitt, 57, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016. Doug was born January 12, 1959 and was a lifelong Grant County resident. Doug graduated from Eastbrook High School in 1977. He served in the National Guard and US Air Force with honorable discharges in 1986 and 1990. Doug worked at RCA in Marion for several years until it closed and then at Dollar General Distribution Center. He enjoyed music, playing his guitars, and loved his faithful canine companion, Gracie. Doug was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie M. McKevitt (Stinnett). He is survived by his father, James R. McKevitt; brother, Jim McKevitt (Shelley); sisters, Linda Cooley (Bob) and Ellen Hanson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Arrangements have been entrusted to Armes-Hunt Funeral Home Cremation Services, College Park Chapel. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Grant Memorial Park cemetery for family and friends.
