Donna J. Harris

Donna J. Harris, 96, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, in Marion. Donna was born on January 3, 1924, in Fowlerton, to the late Glen and Elva (Faulkner) Huston. She graduated from Fairmount High School. Donna was a member of Westview Wesleyan Church. She worked several years in packing at Owens-Illinois Glass Factory, in Gas City. Donna loved making things. She used to have a bread maker. She probably made every kind of bread there was to make. Donna made paper fans, she enjoyed looking at them and at her duck collection. She made beautiful greeting cards that she would send to family and friends. Donna loved entering free sweepstakes, hoping one day she would win big. Terry shared the story of how she asked him to help her enter in one. He said to her, "You're in your 90's, what would you do with that money if you won?" She replied, "I would pay off Westview Wesleyan's bills." She was such a selfless person who loved her Lord, church, and family. Donna is survived by children, Terry (Sherry) McCann, Marion; and Debbie Dulworth, Gas City; brothers, Theodore "Ted" Huston; and David (Dee) Huston, Fairmount; grandchildren, Amber (Clint) Callahan, Anderson; Amy Columbus, Gas City; Micah McCann, Jonesboro; Christina Dulworth; and Rolly Dulworth; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Elva (Faulkner) Huston; husband, Orla L. Harris; grandson, Joshua McCann; son-in-law, Raymond "Ray" Dulworth; brothers, Jim, Richard and Bill Huston; and sisters, Evelyn Barker; Delores Moorman; Wilma Rood; and Bonita Marsh. Arrangements for Donna have been entrusted to College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 S. Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953, where on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, there will be a visitation held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., funeral services beginning at 1:00 P.M., Pastor Ryan Budde officiating. Burial immediately following, Grant Memorial Park, Marion. Due to the Pandemic, masks are required and social distancing is being enforced.
