Donald Harold "Donnie" Fights, Jr.

Donald Harold "Donnie" Fights, Jr., 65, of Jonesboro, Indiana, died at 7:32 PM, on Monday, December 5, 2022, at his Jonesboro home. He entered this world on April 24, 1957, in Marion, Indiana, born to Donald Fights, Sr. and Marjorie (Ailes) Burton.

Donnie was a hard worker who loved building barns. He was a self-employed barn builder and contractor, also working for Fairmount Buildings, and Ed Trice Builders. He had also worked at Essex Wire, E&B Paving, and the Palace Bar. Donnie was a private person, who loved anything to do with the outdoors. He loved gardening, cutting wood, fishing, hunting, and socializing with friends.

Donnie is survived by his two children, Doug Fights, of Fowlerton, Christopher Fights, of Indianapolis; brother, Merlin (Sandi) Fights, of Greentown; four sisters, Donna (J.R.) Purtee, of Kokomo, Marilyn (John) Pagan, of Kokomo, Anna (Steve) Evans, of Deer Creek, IL, Cathy (Gregg) Hensler, of Greentown; and mother of his children, Elizabeth (Buzz) Reno, Fowlerton. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Fights, Sr.; mother, Marjorie Burton, and several aunts and uncles he loved dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Monday, December 12, 2022, at the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 South Main Street, Fairmount, IN 46928, with Pastor Steve Evans officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation will follow in North Central Indiana Cremation Services, Fairmount, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home to help with expenses.
