Donald F. Rodman

Donald F. Rodman 80 of Marion, IN died Thursday February 24, 2022 at Marion Health, Marion, Indiana. Donald was born to the late Earl and Lillian (Piner) Rodman in Marion, Indiana. Donald was a graduate of Jefferson Township High School Class of 1959 where he was President of his Junior and Senior Classes. He loved sports of all kinds especially Notre Dame Football, Indianapolis Colts and IU Basketball. He loved to listen to the Grant County High School sports on the radio. He had a great memory and could share the stats of the teams and players. He was a car guy and loved driving his Corvettes. Donald was a humble, kind and gentle man. He lost his sight to diabetes but never allowed that to change his life. He placed great importance on family and loved his nieces and nephews. Donald was a member of Grace Community Church, Marion, IN. He was Regional Manager of Tom's Snack Foods covering the state of Florida and South Georgia. After retiring to Indiana, he briefly worked for Pony Express Delivery Service. He is survived by a brother, Wayne Rodman of Marion, IN; sister-in-law, Doris Rodman, Gas City, IN; Nephews and Nieces, Rick Shutt, John Shutt, Jim Rodman, Scott Rodman, Rob Rodman, Joy Williams, Jeff Rodman, Ronda Jones, and Ben Rodman; and several great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers John, Gene, Jim (Sue), Dane, and Allen Rodman, and sisters, Nellie Smith and Mary Alice Shutt Arrangements for Donald have been entrusted to Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 259 N. Main St., Upland, IN where the family will receive friends 2-4 PM Thursday March 3, 2022 followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Gotha, FL. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
