Dixie A. Catterton

Dixie A. (Burchett) Catterton, 66, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019, in Marion, Indiana. She was born in Calf Creek, KY, on May 21, 1952, to the late Flem and Huldia (Boyd) Burchette. Dixie was a homemaker and married her husband, James C. Catterton, on May 19, 1978. She attended Church of Christ in Normal, Indiana. Dixie enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, coloring, playing all kinds of different board games with friends and family, gardening, and flowers. Dixie is survived by her husband, James Catterton, Marion; her children, Micahel (Sabrina Sherow) Stacy, Warsaw; Gary Stacy, Auxier, KY; and Christina Stacy, Warsaw; her brother, Bradis (Gracie)Burchette, David, KY; her sisters, Etta Faye Witt, Elkhorn City, KY; Dicie Burchette, Paintsville, KY; Pearl (Arnold) Mulkey, Pike-Floyd Hollow, KY; her sister-in-law, Charlene Burchette, Arkansas Creek, KY; her uncle, Jack Burchette, Hippo,KY; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Candy. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, James Burchette and Wendell Burchette and her sister, Tavie (Burchette) Nunemaker. Arrangements for Dixie have been entrusted to College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremations Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953, where on Thursday, March 7, 2019, a visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.and then a funeral service being officiated by Ed Bridegroom will begin at 1:00 P.M. Burial will immediately follow at Park Cemetery, Fairmount, Indiana. Memorial contributions made in honor of Dixie may be made to the funeral home to help the family defray funeral costs.
