Dian Hoheimer

Dian Hoheimer, 80, of Fairmount, died Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Dian was born on February 12, 1943 in Trenton, New Jersey, daughter of the late Charles "Arthur" Shields and Joan "June" (Yale) Shields. She attended Madison-Grant Schools. Dian married the love of her life Alonzo "Junior" Hoheimer, on November 7, 1959. They were married 54 years before Junior preceded her in death on November 12, 2013. She worked at AA Rents for 33 years. Dian was a faithful attendee of Fairmount Wesleyan Church. You could find her on the front row of just about any auction in the area. Dian was a people person, loved helping wherever she could, and always had a smile on her face and a kind word. As a James Dean fan, she was a former volunteer at the Fairmount Museum, and faithfully opened her home to fans for over 20 years. Dian had also been a volunteer tutor at Park Elementary. She loved selling things on Ebay, but spending time with those great-grand babies was at the top of her list.

Dian is survived by her son Trent (Fran) Hoheimer; sister, Dawn Reagan; brother, Nile (Mary) Stanton; brother-in-law, JD Hodge; grandchildren, Staci and Taylor Hoheimer; great-grandchildren, D.J., Aubri, Amira, Aviyanna, and special granddaughters; Heidi and Wendy Amend.

She was preceded in death by her parent’s, husband, brother, Tony Shields, sister, Ronda Hodge, and brother-in-law Wes Reagan.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where visitation will be Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 4-7 PM and one hour prior to the 11 AM funeral service on Thursday, September 7, 2023. Burial will be at Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
