Dennis Everett Fisher, Jr.

Dennis E. Fisher, Jr., 73, passed away at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Dennis was born on May 1, 1948, the son of the late Dennis and Myrna Fisher. He graduated from Fairmount High School, class of 1966. On August 12, 1967, he married the love of his life, Alice Roy, who survives in Fairmount. Dennis worked for IMI, driving concrete trucks for more than 30 years. He was a life-long member of Teamsters 135 and was an executive for their Clothe a Child drive. He enjoyed tinkering on lawn mowers and trucks, feeding and watching birds, and watching old western movies. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, whom he loved so much. Dennis is survived by his wife, Alice; children, Melissa Fisher, Fairmount, Dennis "Denny" (Debbie) Fisher, and Scott Fisher, both of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Lacey, Amanda, Abby, Leanne, and Brody; and great-grandson, Andrew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Myrna; brother, Rick Fisher; and sisters, Sue Eppley, Lou Hardin, and Judy Rennaker. Arrangements for Dennis have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 South Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana, where a visitation will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Ken Dykhoff officiating.
