David Warren Weaver, 68, died on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, after a brief illness at Marion Health.
David was born July 14, 1955, in Rushville, IN. the son of Paul G. and Mary A. (Howell) Weaver. He married Nancy (Brackett) Weaver on July 16, 2004.
David graduated from Marion High School in 1973. He retired from Marion General Hospital after 35 years, he worked as an X-ray orderly, EMT and finished in the Materials Management Department. David was a hard worker and had many part time jobs, sometimes working two and three jobs at a time. He attended of Grace Community Church.
David was an avid football and basketball fan of the Marion Giants, a season ticket holder for many years. He and Nancy enjoyed weekend outings to Cincinnati Reds games and the Tincaps games in Ft. Wayne. David enjoyed time with his breakfast buddies several days a week, and playing golf was a favorite pastime.
David loved life, enjoyed making people laugh, and always had a joke or funny story to tell. He loved road trips, especially the mountains and the beach. One of his favorites was taking grandchildren to Mount Rushmore. Being a grandpa and hanging out with his grandchildren brought him great joy.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Nancy, Marion, daughters Melissa Weaver-Terrones, Indianapolis and Amanda Weaver, Marion. Stepdaughter Chrys Lamica, Ft. Wayne, stepson Ty (Missy)Hart, Stepson Jason Clark and Daughter in law Janel Hart. Sisters Connie (Greg) Lake, Kennesaw, GA. and Paula Brooksher, Decatur, TN. his mother-in-law, Freda Brackett, Marion, 11 Grandchildren Christian Terrones, Tori Terrones, Emily (Sheldon) Francis, Elaina (Matthew) Herschberger, Erika Hart, Graydon Weaver, Mia Weaver, Ezra Weaver, Kyla Brackett, Donavan Smith, Nova Lamica, and 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law James Brackett and brother-in-law John Brooksher.
Services for David will be at the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana Visitation will be on Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 2-6 PM. Celebration of life service for David will be on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 10 AM with Dr. Thomas Mansbarger officiating. Burial will be at Park Cemetery.
