David B.Nunn, 71, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at his Warren, Indiana residence. Davids parents, Burel and Kathleen (Bright) Nunn met during WWII. Godfrey was in the United State Army Corp. of Engineers andKathleen in the Womens Land Army of England. They were married in 1944 and David was born on March 2, 1946 in London, England.After the war ended,Davidand his mother joinedBurel,arrivingat Ellis Island on January 1, 1947.Their ship was destroyed by fire later that day. David was always proud of his dual citizenship. They settled in Greensburg, Kentucky and later moved to Fairmount, Indiana where he graduated from Fairmount High School in 1964. David married Carol E. Bryant on May 8, 1965 in Huntington, Indiana. David was aloving family man and big brother to all. He retired in 1999 after 33 years intool dieatDelcoRemyof Anderson. He was a past president of the Anderson Mens Bowling Association. He was a great bowler, enjoyed playing golf, and keno, as well asformerlycoaching little league baseball and football. He was an avid sports fan and loved studying the stats and following the New York Yankees and Green Bay Packers. David is survived by hiswife of 52 years, Carol, sisters;GlenyisNunn, Marion, Rhonda (David)Kerschner,Swayzee, Mary (Carl) Carpenter, Mexico, NY, brothers; Terry (Linda)Nunn,Summitville, and RobertNunn, Branson, MO. He is preceded in death by his son DevlinNunn, Brother, Timothy J.Nunn, parents Burel and KathleenNunn,and grandparent Godfrey and Sarah Bright and Willie and JuliaNunn. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel ofArmes-HuntFuneral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indianawhere the family willreceive friends on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 2-8 PM. Funeral service for David is Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 10 AM at the funeral home with Jim Richards officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Anderson Cancer Center in care of the funeral home.
