David A. Huber

David A. Huber, 95, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Colonial Oaks, in Marion. He was born to the late Guy and Lillian (Andrew) Huber, on September 20, 1926, in Warren, Indiana. David graduated from Jefferson Township, in Huntington County in 1944, then served as a PFC in the Army from 1944 to 1946. He earned his bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Purdue University, in June of 1951. David married the love of his life, Joanne M. Rockwell, on June 17, 1951, in Medaryville, she survives. David was a Farm Manager for 30 years at Miller Purdue Agriculture Center, in Upland. He spent years researching pastures for beef cattle. He and his father shared a passion for farming. He loved watching things grow. David enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, gardening, and reading. He was a member of Woodland Hills Church of Christ and was an elder for 40 years at South Marion Church of Christ. David is survived by his wife, Joanne M. Huber, Upland; children, David "Mike" (Ivisa) Huber, Upland; Nancy D. (Joe) Bunch, Joliet, IL; Daniel M. (Mary) Huber, Castroville, TX; Becky J. (Joe) Hartley, Marion; Heidi D. (David) Banning, Houston, TX; and Mark A. (Diane) Huber, Paducah, KY; sister, Joann Trout, Warren; grandchildren, Terra (Josh) Collier, Tami (Brian) Meyer, Tabitha (Andrew) Priest, Tessa (Derek) Heiser, Andy (Whitney) Huber, Brandon (Anna) Huber, Michael (Lynne) Reed, Emily (Paul) Mishler, Lillian (Colton) Kellam, Todd (Laura) Banning, Jonathan (Leah) Banning, Bridget Huber, Curtis Huber, and Evan Huber; and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Helen (Paul) Huber; brothers, Joseph Huber and Jack, George, and Perry Paul; and grandson, Joseph Huber. Arrangements for David have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, where a visitation will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022, from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. On Sunday, June 12, 2022, at the funeral home, there will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 P.M., with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 P.M., with Pastor Alan Jones officiating. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory, in Marion. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of David to Woodland Hills Church of Christ, 2718 N. Wabash Road, Marion, Indiana 46952.
