Danny R. Kitchen Sr.

Danny R. Kitchen Sr., 78, passed away on May 12, 2023. He was born on December 4, 1944 to the late Raymond Kitchen and Georgia (Planck) Carter in Muncie, Indiana. Danny was a graduate of Marion High School class of 1971. He married Marilyn (Jefferies) Kitchen on July 15, 1967. Danny then served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Danny retired from RCA Thompson after over 30 years of working there as a Production Assistant.

Danny loved to watch sports. He also loved to do anything outside, Danny could be found camping and boating. He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren, he would take them to the zoo, and vacation with them. They traveled to Disney World and Tennessee.

Danny is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Jeffries) Kitchen of Gas City, IN; children, Danny R. Kitchen Jr. of Gas City, IN, Christy Fields of Marion, IN, Jeffrey Kitchen of Gas City, IN; grandchildren, Bryce Fields, Hannah Fields, Taylor Fields, and Katelynn Kitchen; great grandchild, Melanie Kitchen; brother, Paul (Donna) Kitchen of Texas.

Danny is preceded in his passing by his parents.

Arrangements have been entrusted to The College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Ave., Marion, IN 46953. In accordance to Danny’s wishes a service will not be held.
