Clayton Patrick Anderson

Clayton Patrick Anderson, 27, passed away Thursday December 21, 2023 at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis following a reoccurring illness.

Clay was always ready to sacrifice for family and friends. He was a giver to the end, as an organ donor, he was able to save another life through his donation.

Clay was an intellect, a deep thinker, and a listener second to none. He had a superb ability to retain facts and information of all kinds, especially sports trivia. His ability to retain information, paired with his sense of humor, made for a great debate.

In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, hiking outdoors, frisbee golf, reading, research, poetry, and video gaming. He was an avid Indiana Pacers fan.

Clay was born October 15, 1996 in Noblesville, IN, He grew up in the Sheridan Wesleyan Church, graduated from Sheridan High School in 2015, attended Hanover College, and received a degree in Sociology from IU Kokomo in 2020. He had been employed in the mail department with The Canon Group, Carmel, IN.

Clay is survived by his parents, Robby and Theda (Obenchain) Anderson, Sheridan, IN. Additional survivors include his brother; Chancellor Anderson, Helsinki, Finland, nephew; Elias Anderson, Helsinki, Finland, grandmother; Mary Anderson, Summitville, IN Uncles; Jeff (Dana) Obenchain, Lebanon, IN, Robert Anderson, Summitville, IN as well as several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and his dog Broly.

Clay was preceded in death by grandfather; Kenneth Obenchain, grandmother; Vernice Obenchain, grandfather; Robert Anderson, grandfather; Larry Chapman, and dog Zipper.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, IN where the family will receive friends from 1-3 PM Wednesday December 27th. A private family Life Celebration of Clay's life will follow with Pastor Eric Roemer officiating, interment will be in the Vinson Cemetery, Summitville, IN
