Clarence Junior Loney

Clarence "Junior" Loney, 96, formerly of Hartford City passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the University Healthcare Center in Upland, Indiana. Clarence was born in Lebanon, Mo, on September 19, 1926. He served as a Corporal in the US Army from January of 1945 to November of 1946. Clarence married the love of his life, Carrie L. (Brumley) Loney she preceded him in death November 16,2000. He loved animals, and enjoyed working in his yard and mowing. Junior enjoyed taking drives just to enjoy the scenery and an occasional visit with a friend. Clarence was a member of the American Legion Post 195, Elks Lodge 625, and the Amvets Post 23 all of Hartford City.

Clarence also enjoyed NASCAR and Indy Car Racing, visiting with his friends, going to Lake Tippy at Leesburg, Indiana and going the the American Legion Post at North Webster.

Clarence is survived by his step-daughter, Connie (Mike) Sutton, Marion; grandchildren, Karrie (Art) Anderson, Van Buren; Brooke (Eric) Manry, Stuart, FL; Dr. Melissa (Douglas) Monroe, Mt. Pleasant, TN; great-grandchildren, Hayden (Halee) Anderson, Oklahoma City, OK; Darien (Katelynn) Sutton, Peru; Logan Anderson, Van Buren; Maylinn Phillips, Noblesville; and great grandson; Dane (Kayce) Fowler, Springhill, TN. 2 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie (Brumley) Loney, and great-great-grandson, Hudson Anderson, step-daughter Carolyn Hicks.

Arrangements for Clarence have been entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 259 North Main Street, Upland, Indiana 46989. A graveside service for Clarence "Junior" will be at 2:00 PM Saturday October 22, 2022 at Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana with military honors.
