Clarence E. "Red" Lockhart, 83, Marion, beloved Husband, Father, and Brother, was called to his eternal resting place on October 30, 2021. He entered this world on January 7, 1938, in Wayne, West Virginia, born to Eugene Lockhart and Shirley Dean. Clarence married Betty (Noble) in West Virginia on May 7, 1996. He worked in the coal mines on the Ohio River until he retired after surviving a coal mine accident. He attended First United Methodist Church in Marion. He was a member of 1812 and the Indiana Canal Society. Clarence enjoyed hunting and loved to travel, mostly by car. He is survived by his wife Betty Lockhart; son, Clarence Fletcher (Lucie) Lockhart; daughters, Kathy Smith, Glenna Ward, Glenda Lockhart, Tena (Bobby) Cook, and Tammy (Joel); son, Matthew Lockhart; eight grandchildren; and step-granddaughter Billie Jean. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Lockhart; sons-in-law, David Smith, and Bill Ward. Arrangements for Clarence have been entrusted to the College-Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services. No Services are scheduled. It was Clarence's request to be cremated.
