Charles Ray Dooley

Charles R. Dooley went to be with his Lord and Savior in his home on Thursday morning April 27, 2023. He was born to the late Richard and Mable Dooley on November 6, 1937. Charles graduated in 1956 from Jefferson High School in Upland. He was employed with Borg Warner in Muncie for 40 years.

He grew up on a farm in Grant County and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. He loved the outdoors and loved his family so very much. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church of Marion.

Charles is survived by his loving wife Rita of 48 years; children, Cynthia Dooley (Terry Kindle), Marion, Charles Jr. (Tammy), Gas City, Tamara Kastelein (Nathan), Troy, IL, Chip Cooper (Brenda), Fuquay Varina, North Carolina; 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, with another one on the way; three brothers, Richard, John, and Frank; and one sister, Phoebe.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m on Friday May 5, 2023, at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Jones-Smith Chapel, 259 North Main Street, Upland, Indiana 46989.
