Carolyn Jo Dyer

Carolyn Jo Dyer (Friermood), of Marion, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 5th, 2021. She was born in Wabash, Indiana, to Raymond Friermood and Vernon Mathes on March 7, 1937. Carolyn graduated from Anderson High School in 1955 and was a retired V.A. nurse. She enjoyed spending time camping, gardening, and making memories with family. Carolyn had a full life devoted to her church and Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by both parents and her younger brother, Donald (Jerry) Friermood. Carolyn is survived by one sister, Marsha Bitner, Anderson; six children, David (Lori) Dyer of Marion, Stevan (Diane) Dyer of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Mark Dyer of Marion, Gregory Dyer of Marion, Michael (Colette) Dyer of Marion, and Jennifer (Rick) Rogers of Zionsville; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 11, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at First Church of God, 450 West 50th Street, Marion, Indiana. A celebration of life will follow at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Bill Fulda officiating. Burial will take place after the celebration of life. Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Carolyn to First Church of God, 450 West 50th Street, Marion, Indiana 46953.
