Carol E. (Bryant) Nunn, formerly of Fairmount, died Wednesday, March 12, 2025, under hospice care at Bluffton Regional Hospital.
Carol was born in Huntington, Indiana, on October 18, 1944, daughter of the late Richard J. and Ruth R. (Michael) Bryant. She graduated from Huntington Township High School in 1962. She married the love of her life, David B. Nunn, on May 8, 1965. They celebrated 52 wonderful years together before his death on November 14, 2017. Carol and David had one son, Devlin, who was the light of their life. Devlin preceded both of them in death at the age of 20. Carol worked in the banking industry for 36 1/2 years. She worked at Citizens (First Farmers) Bank in Fairmount for 20 years before moving to Anderson. While living in Anderson she worked for Star Bank for 16 years. Carol loved bowling. Her proudest achievement was bowling on the U.S.A. Nationals Team "Tournament of the Americas" in Miami, Florida, in 1998. She was one of 12 participating. David got to go with her, but she enjoyed telling the story that he had to pay his own way! Carol was later inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame. She later gave up bowling and moved on to scrapbooking.
Carol is survived by her sister, Lucille "Susy" Boxell, Warren; step-brother, Steven (Judy) Cunningham, Croyden, New Hampshire; nephews that she loved like her own, Brett (Jackie) Boxell, Huntington, and Brad (Angie) Boxell, New Haven; great-niece, Alaina Lehman; and great-nephews, Ian and Gatlin Boxell.
