Carlos R. CorkySchetzsle, 80, died Friday, October 14, 2016 at Community Hospital in Anderson. Corky was born in Wabash, Indiana in 1935 to the last Ralph and Dorothea (Young)Schetzsle. He attended St. Bernards Grade School for eight years and graduated from Wabash High School in 1953. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Alexandria. Corky has resided in Wabash, Indiana,Parkville, Missouri andCrawfordsville, Indiana before moving toSummitvillebefore retiring in 1996 from Indiana-American Water Company after 39 years of service. Corky was a past member of the Elks Lodge, Rotary Club and the American Water Works Association. He also had coached Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) basketball and American Legion Baseball. He was a fan of NASCAR racing, Notre Dme football and the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed attending craft and hobby shows with his wife and collecting possible dreams Santa Clauses. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Becky Jane (Dorsey)SchetzsleofSummitville, IN, Daughters; Deborah Kay DebbieSchetzsleof Lafayette, and Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Barton ofCrawfordsville, sons, John R. (Carla)SchetzsleyofCrawfordsville,and David M.Schetzsleof Toledo, Ohiotwo granddaughters; Kali Elise and Kristi MarieSchetzsleand grandson, Robert Nile Barton all ofCrawfordsville, brother John B. (Carol)Schetzsleof Wabash and several nieces and nephews. A brother, James R.Schetzsle, died while serving his country in World War II. Armes-HuntFuneral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana are handling arrangements.A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Marys Catholic Church, Alexandriaon Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 10 AM with Father Dan Duff officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery inCrawfordsvilleat a later date.
