Blanch "GG" McWhirt, 80, of Marion, Indiana, the one and only; was known by all, but couldn't remember names, decided to unexpectedly take the grand vacation to visit her Lord at 11:19 p.m., on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.
She was a unique and spunky woman who had a tribe of glamorous rummaging sisters known better as the "Golden Girls." Blanche is now home with her beloved mother, Emma Levi; three sisters, Jackie Pauley, Ada Cox, and Phillis "Cookie" Smith; and her brother, Billy Levi.
Blanch is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Charles McWhirt; two daughters, Terri (Andy) Koon, and Connie Fields, both of Marion; a lovely sister, Tiny (Don) Felver; and brother, Johnny Bloomer. She had three awesome grandchildren, Dana "Cousin" Koon, Jessie "Wildman" Koon, and Cory (Shelby) Fields; five great-grandchildren, known to her by "Miss M," Emma, "Mr. L," Liem, "RowRow," Rowan, "Baby Cuz," Journey, and "Lil Momma," Stella. She always had something to brag about.
She was known for cooking at Penguin Point for way too long to running the Bingo Kitchen. Blanch will always be known as a legend. From her personality to her voice, she was a one of a kind person who left so many good memories for us all. Blanche was loved by many nieces and nephews, family, and friends everywhere. She will always be known as the best wife, mother, grandma, "GG," and friend anyone could ask for.
