Betty J. Shrout

Betty J. Shrout, 86, formerly of Kentucky, died Monday, September 12, 2022 at her daughters Fairmount home.

Betty was born on October 23, 1935 in Owingsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late James and Nannie Mae (Brandshaw) Goldie. She married Lonnie L. Shrout on October 31, 1951. He preceded her in death in 1997. Betty was a homemaker, and attended Liberty Friends Church. She adored her Dachshund, Raspberry.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Bernie) Deavers, Fairmount; Sons, Timmy Shrout, Tony Shrout and Glen Shrout, all of Owingsville, KY, Norman (Teresa) Shrout, Sharpsburg, KY and Matthew Shrout Cave Run, KY; sister, Irene (Luther) Shrout, Matthews; grandchildren, Macie Shrout and Kermit Deavers, Timothy (Amber) Schrout, Brittany Watkins; great-grandchildren Mariah, Cooper Deavers, and Landon Shrout.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, son, Monty, and siblings, Jack, Ray, Gary, Herman, Ed Leana, and Dorothy.

Local arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana. Service for Betty will be At Richardson Funeral Home, 121 E Main St, Owingsville, KY on Thursday, September 15, 2022. Visitation is from1-3 PM with the funeral service at 3 PM. Burial will be at Owingsville Cemetery, Owingsville, KY.
