Upland: Barry J. Moorman, 61, died unexpectedly in his residence on Sunday, April 9, 2017. He was born in Upland, the son of the late Gerald Moorman and Delores Moorman. He graduated from Eastbrook High School in 1973 and married Terri Thornburgh on September 29, 1973. Barry, having lived all of his life in Grant County, attended Epworth United Methodist Church, Matthews, and more recently, Center Chapel United Methodist Church, Marion. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and horses. He had been a dairy farmer for 45 years, but was currently employed with US Express, located at Dollar General Distribution Center, Marion. Survivors include his mother, Delores Moorman, Marion; his wife of 43 years, Terri, Upland; children, Bree (Ryan) Phillippe, Jonesboro, Brent (Lindsey) Moorman, Marion, Benj (Krystal) Moorman, Salt Lake City, Utah; a brother, Denny (Cathy) Moorman, Fairmount; two sisters, Brenda (Mike) Worrick, Fairmount, and Sandy (Ted) Biehl, Urbana; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Moorman. Memorials may be made to Center Chapel United Methodist Church Building Fund, 8733 E. 200 S., Marion, Indiana, 46953.
