B. Jane Maggard

B. JaneMaggard, 87, formerly of Fairmount, Indiana died Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Wesleyan Health Rehab in Marion where she had lived for the past 5 years. Jane was the last living of seven daughters born to the late Bailey Stanley and the late Mary Watson Stanley, born in Fairmount on July 31, 1928. She was a devoted wife for 31 years to CharlesMaggard. They were together for 31 years before his death on June 14, 2009. Jane worked 9 years at the VA Medical Center in housekeeping. She loved the Lord, singing in the church choir and taking care of Charles. She had attended both Fairmount Baptist Church and the Pilgrim Holiness Church. She is survived by 2 sons: Dennis (Anita) Wilson, Fairmount, Indiana and Kevin Cook of St. Augustine, Florida. 2 Grandchildren; Chad Wilson, Florence, S.C. and Megan (Tony) Vasquez, Marion, IN Great-Granddaughter, Valencia Vasquez. Step Granddaughter, Charlotte (Jerry) Wolf, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters: MarthaCromer, Helen Moon, EdnaKierstead, Ruth Madigan, Hazel Watson and PhyllisShamory, and grandson Timothy Wilson. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel ofArmes-HuntFuneral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where the family will received friends on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 11 AM - 1 PM from prior to the service. Service will immediately follow at 1 PM with Chaplain Ron Forsythe and Pastor Johnny Smith officiating. Graveside service and burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Fairmount, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
