Audrey L. Vaught

Audrey L.(Schaffer)Vaught, 82, formerly of Fairmount, Indiana died Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Grey Stone Health and Rehabilitation in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Audrey was born in South Bend, Indiana on on February 10, 1935, daughter of the late RobertWendellSchaffer and the late Helen (Warner) Schaffer. Audrey had worked at RCA and Park Elementary School in food service, a daycare provider and was named TopCompetitor as an Avon Representative. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Gas City. She was kind hearted and had a kind word for everyone she met. She loved children and they lovedher, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, painting,other crafts, and loved rummaging during Museum Weekend at the James Dean Festival in Fairmount. She married Charles ChuckVaughtand he preceded her in death January 9, 2000. Audrey is survived by by 4 children; Janet (Jerry) Mitchell, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Robin (Michael) Riley Bunker Hill, IN, Paula (Halo) Hughes, Anderson, IN, and Rick (Guadalupe) Vaught, Texas, 2 Step-children; MarjorieVaughtand BryanVaughtboth in Pennsylvania. 20 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren, She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Joyce Weber, and brother, Ronald W. Schaffer. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel ofArmes-HuntFuneral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where there will be a visitation on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 3-7 PM Funeral service honoring Audrey will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at at the Fairmount Chapel with Father RichardWiesenbergerofficiating. Burial will be at Park Cemetery, Fairmount, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made toAlzheimersAssociation in care of the funeral home.
